WAAPI integration overview

1. Arrange your workspace

Contact Helium to arrange access. The initial business owner accepts an invitation and manages the workspace team. Access is scoped by business and role.

2. Connect a business-owned account

Use Setup to complete Meta Embedded Signup with an authorised business administrator. WAAPI connects the WhatsApp Business account, imports eligible numbers and subscribes to message webhooks. Resolve the readiness checks before the owner enables sending.

3. Configure your messaging

Use the correct approved template category for utility notifications or authentication codes. Your application is responsible for generating and validating OTPs and supplying accurate transaction details. Template approval, account eligibility and messaging windows remain subject to Meta's rules.

4. Integrate and monitor

Workspace API keys authorise messaging requests. Webhook integrations provide incoming events and delivery updates. Keep keys private, validate received events and use status information to investigate failures. Contact support for endpoint documentation and an integration walkthrough for your workspace.

Obtain required recipient permissions, respect opt-outs and restrict team access to authorised users. Never embed an API key in a public website or mobile application. See our privacy notice and deletion process.
